Launching Reading Workshop

I have a collection of books that I read the first couple of weeks of school to get students excited about reading. If you have any other good ones please share by leaving a comment!

    Wonderful books! I have and use them all too! Here are a few more you might enjoy: Beatrice Doesn't Want To by Laura Numeroff; Dog Loves Books by Louise Yates; Miss Brooks Loves Books by Barbara Bottner; Calvin Can't Fly by Jennifer Berne; Winston the Book Wolf by Marni McGee; The Library Dragon by Carmen Agra Deedy; Wolf! by Becky Bloom.

    Thank you for sharing---now that I teach 2nd grade I really want to foster a love for reading. I'm excited to try out some of these books in my classroom.
