Plum Paper and Erin Condren Products

So I'm Plum Paper's newest fan! I purchased my teacher planner from them and then decided to order a Notebook too. I loved the idea of a Parent Teacher Conference book, so I ordered a 7x9 (8.5x11 is available too) personalized notebook. Instead of lined pages, I clicked on the Lifestyle format and chose Meeting Notebook.
This book has 49 pages (f/b) of meeting pages. You could easily use this for team meetings, PLC meetings or any other meeting you might have. I'm choosing to use it strictly for parent conferences. With that many meeting pages, it could last 2-3 school years.
I also snagged a few things from Erin Condren as well. I told you in my last post that the EC interchangeable covers also fit my PP planner, I saw this one and knew I had to have it too!

I purchased these colorful circles to mark important dates on my yearly spread.
I purchased these to snap into my planner on the current week.

I purchased a set of personalized stationary. I chose to get the Happy Birthday set. It came with 20 folded (flat is also an option) cards with my name already inside them. I could have personalized a message in all of them but chose not to. I got to pick the color envelopes I wanted and it also came with envelope seals. I thought these would be perfect to give to my colleagues during the school year.

What are your favorite Plum Paper and Erin Condren products?

New School New Planner

The Hawk and I
12 years ago I had the honor of opening up one of my county's newest elementary school. Next year, I'll get that opportunity again. So after 8 years as a Coal Miner, I'm going to be a Hawk!

The years I wasn't using planbook.com, I've used Erin Condren Lesson Planners. This year, I heard some EC fans say they had switched to Plum Paper. Biggest perk, it's very customizable! I've was having some issues being patient and went ahead and ordered a PP Teacher Planner since the EC Planner wasn't set to be released for a few more weeks (it's been released now). Can I tell you how much I LOVE my new planner!

The hardest part was choosing a cover, they have so many to choose from!
Each month has this on the left and a notes page on the right.

Each month spread already has the holidays included.

After each month spread is another notes page. I chose to "disperse" a To Do list to each month. That was $3 total.
The Teacher Lesson Planners come with a My Class Section. You can see what's included in that section here.

Each TLP also comes with a checklist section.

I chose to add a tabbed Notes section for $2.25. I forsee a lot of note taking in my future.
I also love that you can choose your lesson page layout, I went with Option 2 so I could have a weekend section to activities in. Option 3 is the typical layout and Option 1 has the days vertically as opposed to horizontally. You can check out the options here. The lesson pages are included with each monthly spread.
My husband purchased me an EC Gift Card before I decided to go with PP, I read somewhere that the EC Covers fit the PP Planners and sure enough... they do! So when I get tired of the Chevron, I'll cut it off and add my EC Cover.
If you've never purchased from Plum Paper and want to create an account and give it a try, email me at jessicaysaunders@gmail.com or leave a comment and I'll send you over a referral coupon for 10% off!

I just ordered a Parent Conference Notebook for next year as well... I'll post about when it comes!

4 for Friday: My BTS Favorites

Summer School is officially over and I'm headed to the outlets with my husband to do some shopping! My whole body hurts just from working 6 hours in my classroom. I went in two hours on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and with this heat... that's all I may be doing until teacher work week, this teacher needs some AC! I have one more day, well half day planned in my classroom and that'll be it. In 3 short weeks teachers report back and I have got to get some rest. Below are my most favorite back to school items!

Back to School Favorites

1. Erin Condren Teacher Planner- I've fallen in  love with the Erin Condren teacher planner. I usually purchase them on sale each April but with them being predated now, I'll probably have to splurge on the newest edition next year. In addition to the planning pages, I love the two page calendar spread for all my important dates, the stickers and sheet protectors to hold my district calendar and pacing guides. It comes with 1 but I add 2 more for $3 for a total of 3. Are you a new customer looking to purchase, check out my referral link! https://erincondren.com/referral/invite/jessicasaunders0426-8175

2. Enso Silicone Ring- After damaging my wedding set and having to purchase another one, I was looking into something different to wear to school. Because let's face it, I wash my hands 80 times a day, sanitize 160 times a day and constantly bang my hands on everything! My #teambff and I decided to get silicone rings to wear during the school year. I've already been wearing mine while setting up my classroom and I love it, it's comfortable and I forget I have it on. I got mine off of Amazon but they do have a website. I purchased the Infinity Misty Gray ring.

3. Tieks Ballet Flats- Have you heard of these? They are my newest favorite shoe and it's all I wear now. Before you mention the price, if you have family and friends give you gift cards for Christmas and your birthday, technically you're not spending your own money! That's how I've purchased 3 of the 5 pair I have. Since I'm on my feet all day, just like you, I need comfortable shoes. Before I discovered Tieks my Clark's flip flops were always on standby. My feet swell something terrible and are usually throbbing by the end of the day but with Tieks they don't anymore. I can literally wear them all day with no problem and they're super cute! I bought my first pair, Silver Screen, last summer, I got Tangerine and Fuchsia (my ABSOLUTE favorite color) for Christmas, Matte Black for my birthday and I just purchased Cool Grey thanks to my summer school pay. I really want California Navy but we're buying new living room furniture (did you know that they are making furniture that have electric recline in the headrest and footrest and equipped with USB ports so you can charge your phone?!?) so I gotta save that money. Everything I read said to size down, I'm a size 8 to 8.5. But due to the swelling the 8's were just too snug so I sized up to a size 9 and now my feet are in heaven (all of my friends sized up as well). Check out my photo that's on the Tieks website, I was on my way to church on Resurrection Sunday in my pink Tieks!

4. Essential Oils- So yes... I'm that person! I love my  essential oils. I've been into them for about 2 years now and they have made all the difference in my health.
I took a picture of some of my favorites. I use Balance as a calming agent during the day. Serenity at night before bed. I love to rub Peppermint across my forehead and on my neck when I need rejuvenation. I diffuse Motivate in my classroom during teacher work week to well... um... to keep me motivated. And then there's OnGuard, their immunity support blend. I use the hand sanitizing mist, foaming hand wash, diffuse the oil in my classroom and even take it internally to keep from getting sick! I have a Modern Essentials oil book that tells me how to use them. I wear them topically, diffuse them at home and in my classroom and take some internally. In two years I've only been sick once and it was the mildest case of Norovirus my doctor had ever seen, my symptoms literally only lasted 4 hours! Some people buy theirs on Amazon, I have a membership with them so I buy them wholesale.

I'd love to hear about your BTS favorites, leave a comment here or hop on over to our Facebook page and leave a comment.

Monday Made It 7*24*17

This week I'm keeping it simple and sharing how I adapted my Erin Condren Teacher Planner for next school year. They come out with a new design every May but I purchased mine back in April when last year's design was on sale.
My Planner
I purchased the Create 365 Teacher Planner Stickers to use with my planner. You can find them at Michael's or Hobby Lobby.
I decided to take the Absentee Log and turn it into an Inspiration List like I saw over at 3rd Grade Thoughts. I used planner stickers to replace Name with Idea and to replace Note with an apple and checkmark. I also used the tabs to replace Absent with Inspiration.
Since I've already created my Long Range Plans I really didn't need this page for plans but I do intend to use this page to list monthly 7 Habits of Happy Kids, Leadership Skills and Growth Mindset lessons and ideas.
This is one of my calendar spreads. I'll use this to record important school dates and holidays.
I opted for 2 sheet protectors, it comes with 1 but you can add 2 more if you like. I use one sleeve for my long range lesson plans and one sleeve for our district calendar.
I've already written all the dates in my planner. Then I used the tabs from the sticker book to section the lesson plan pages into months.
I'm looking forward to using an actual planner again. I've done planbook.com for the last two years and I loved it but there's nothing like a pretty planner to get you excited about writing lesson plans!
